Great work in DF

I am a big supporter of American Apparel for many reasons; the clothes are simple but fashionable, I like the unisex options, and I truly appreciate your commitment to social issues.

I just read about your stores in Mexico (a little late, I know), and just wanted to say that I think this is an awesome initiative. You all clearly did your market research, because I definitely see the Hispanic culture embracing these styles.

Paying the US minimum wage to Mexican workers shows your deep social commitment to establishing fairness in your business practices, and I hope it sets an example for others. I also appreciate your steps toward bettering the Hispanic community, because although I'm an American, I have studied this language and culture for many years. It's also fun to shop and practice my language skills at the same time!

Keep up the innovative thinking.
Manufacturing in the USA
July 16, 2010 - Peter, Company
As a person who has spent his career in international transportation and have seen thousands of jobs lost in the US to China and other Asian countries, I am absolutely amazed and delighted to see the stand that AA has made and is continuing to make in making clothing here at home.

The Federal Goverrment should do more to encourage other corporations to do the same and bring jobs back to the US and particulrly to LA where I live and work.

Please keep on doing what you are doing American Apparel

In short: I really take notice of your very tasteful ads. I do not buy for women, but maybe one of these days I will visit your store just out of curiosity. And also, I like the "made in america"
Employees at work that actually do work! Amazing, right?
June 12, 2010 - Renee, Stores
Just wanted to say I have always been pleased with the customer service at the American Apparel stores that I have visted in Southern California and I think I can expect it to be that way at any of the locations that I visit, which is nice.

I am tired of going shopping where the kids that work there are so lazy and act like theyre doing you a favor when you ask for help. Like its your problem that youre making them do their job. I think its getting harder to find good workers in retail stores in this country who are polite, informative, and ready to assist you because that is, of course, their job!! I know the motivation has a lot to do with the way the company treats the employees also, so AA seems respectable while offering respectable products.

Keep up the good work, it doesnt go unrecognized!
Outstanding Customer Service
May 20, 2010 - Leanne, Stores
At your Yorkdale Mall location, I had amazing customer service. I came in looking for quite a large order, and I was very pressed for time. [The sales associate] made my experience much easier by calling around to the other locations in the area to put the complete order on hold between 4 stores while I had to leave to go back to work. She made a complete chart of each size and quantity available at each store, and called me (I gave her my cell number) to inform me of where to pick up and offered different options.

This was my first time shopping at American Apparel, and it was for work, and since [the sales associate] was so amazing, I am recommending we get all of our future uniforms from that location.

Cudos!
Excellent Service in Miami Beach

I had the plessure to meet the most serviceminded and helpful man I ever met, in your store, at Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach, Florida. I think his name was [sales associate name].

Kind regards from one happy, norwegian customer.
Our Tequila Model Dress
February 8, 2010 - Chuy, Wholesale
Bought a Creme Interlock Asymmetrical Dress at your Community Store in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday. The salesperson was incredibly nice. The dress to be printed with a design featuring our award winning bottle of Real de Mexico Tequila.

The material took to the printing incredibly and the entire look of the dress turned out beautiful. Our model received plenty of compliments for our Super Bowl Sunday event. Our men's t-shirt's first design was also printed on an American Apparel shirt and created such a stir with the men that we are actually planning on mass producing them to sell and give out.

Thank you for making such a quality product and for Legalizing L.A.

Employee Michael P.
October 6, 2009 - Susan, Customer Service
Michael P. happened to be in the Woodfield Mall store when I came in to pick up merchandise I had called about and placed on hold. When I got to the store, some of the merchandise wasn't there as promised and without hesitation he jumped in to solve the problem to my satisfaction by having the remaining merchandise sent to me from another store overnight. He exceeded my expecations by calling to provide the fedex tracking number for the shipment and calling to make sure the merchandise arrived. What a great asset for American Apparel!!!
